I've been catching up with the more-or-less 400 deviations I still haven't seen, and I can't help feel overwhelmed by the crazy talent that's out there. I've tried to challenge myself in the past to glue and chain myself to the drawing table and start drawing, but I can't seem to find the motivation. And now I'm so rusty I can't even draw a satisfying plain headshot.

I've just finished watching the first season of Avatar, and the bonus documentary where we get to hear from the Korean animators. I've also been watching Superman the animated series, and all this has lead me to really miss animating on paper. To be part of a big project, to work in an animation studio... I don't know, maybe being still part of the non-working caste of society is slowly eroding my morale, but I'd actually be willing to fly overseas and be one of those Korean animators.

Back when I was 11, I pictured myself working on Disney movies by now. Can't help but feel I never put the effort into it.

Now don't read too much into this, I'm not depressed or anything. Really. This is just me trying to get myself to at least start drawing again. Seriously. With backgrounds and all. The best way out of this dark hole of unmotivation and talent-rust is to force myself out, crawling through the dirt, untill I see the light

I still intend on revamping my entire gallery. Lots of things, if not everything, needs to either go to storage, scraps or simply permanent deletion. I used to keep old crappy stuff to see some kind of evolution in my work, but I think starting anew is the best way to go. We'll see... Speaking of scraps, I'll be managing that too. I plan to upload sketches and stuff directly there, but I'll try to not have that section look like a collection of your niece's ugly drawings you can't stand to look at but keep for, I dunno, sentimental value I guess...

In the meantime, I still have a badass pumpkin to carve. And I just received the first season of Inuyasha! (i'm such a dvd whore). So as they say in Japan,
